Adult Volunteer Information

Like most things in Scouts, Day Camp is organized and ran completely by volunteers. 

It takes over 100 volunteers to put on a successful camp, therefore, we need your help!  


We have a variety of positions available and need many volunteers for each:

  • Day Camp Den Leaders - (5 day volunteers)
      * Current need for Den Leaders

  • Assistant Day Camp Den Leaders - (1-4 day volunteers)
      * Current need for Assistant Den Leaders

  • Rotation Leaders - (5 day volunteers) **INCENTIVE: KEY STAFF POSITIONS GET ONE FREE CAMPER REGISTRATION**
          * Current need: None
    • Other Needs - (5 day volunteers) **INCENTIVE: KEY STAFF POSITIONS GET ONE FREE CAMPER REGISTRATION**      * Current need: None

    * As we develop camp, other rotation leaders may be needed. Please contact us if you're interested in helping.

    Volunteer Training Dates

    See the Important Dates page to subscribe to our Google Calendar. The dates listed below are required for all volunteers.  Please make every effort to attend.  


    • Adult & Youth Volunteer Mandatory Training - June 27th, OCBSA Headquarters Santa Ana. Time: TBD
    • Adult & Youth Volunteer Mandatory Training - July 6th, OCBSA Headquarters Santa Ana. Time: TBD
    • T-Shirt Pick-Up Day - July 6th, OCBSA Headquarters Santa Ana. Time: TBD

    Medical & Release Forms

    All campers and volunteers are required to complete BSA Medical Forms A & B, Outdoor Education Center release form, and provide a front & back copy of your insurance card. Once you register for day camp through the BSA website, please complete the medical forms and mail them, along with the copy of your insurance card, to:

    Volunteers with Younger Children

    For those volunteers with children too young to participate in Day Camp, we have our Tot Lot. Tot Lot is available for children ages 3-5 that are fully potty-trained. The cost is $5 per day or $20 for all five days. Select "Tot Lot" when registering for camp. Tot Lot participants are also required to have a completed BSA Medical Forms A & B, Outdoor Education Center release form, and a front & back copy of their insurance card on file.
